Surah Baqarah consists of 286 verses and is classified as a ‘madani’ Surah, meaning it was revealed in Madinah. It is also recognized as the longest Surah in the Holy Qur’an.

It is narrated that the Holy Prophet (S) mentioned the virtues of reciting specific verses from Surah al-Baqarah. Those who recite the first four verses of this Surah, along with ‘ayatul kursi,’ and conclude with the last three verses on a daily basis will be bestowed with divine protection over their life, property, and family. They are promised safeguarding from evil and distance from Satan, ensuring their remembrance of Allah (S.w.T.).
